Flying Dragon Qigong: Clearing the Dragon’s Path
Course Description
Clearing the Dragon’s Path is the second stage of Flying Dragon Qigong taught at Saskatoon’s Xin Fu Gompa.  It is expected that the student has a firm grasp of the material from the Discovering the Three Treasures course. This course reviews the material from Discovering the Three Treasures each class and adds to it.
The first goal of Clearing the Dragon’s Path is to establish a firm experiential knowledge of the involved Daoist energetic anatomy. The second goal is to mentally prepare the energy pathways to receive Qi by learning to effortlessly activate each point by moving the hands while circle walking. The third goal is to allow the Thrusting Channel and the Greater Heavenly Cycle to flow without restriction. The fourth goal is to improve circle walking skills.
In addition to all the material from Discovering the Three Treasures, students add arm movements to their circle walking. The techniques and principles of Turning the Heavenly Wheel, Clearing the Thrusting Channel, and Dragon Swimming Among the Clouds are covered in detail.
Prerequisites
- Discovering the Three Treasures.
- The course is open to those 16 years of age and up.
Course Mechanics
The course is held over four sequential classes, each building on the material of the previous class. Students are introduced to more advanced visualizations and more complex movements designed to prepare the microcosmic orbit for Qi flow.
